LINX selects Digital Realty as New IXP Access Point in Ghana.
LINX is expanding its Digital Realty partnership to West Africa as they welcome the data centre provider to their new interconnection fabric, LINX Accra
The data centre leader Digital Realty is in the final stages of its new facility in Accra, ACR2 – a state-of-the-art data centre strategically located within close proximity to several submarine landing cable stations in the city.
This news comes shortly after LINX Accra, a new internet exchange point (IXP), was announced in 2024 and is expected to go live in the coming weeks. Within Ghana, LINX hopes the IXP will provide future proof and scalable solutions to take the digital ecosystem to the next level.
It will be the third location in Africa for LINX since the launch of LINX Nairobi in 2023, which was a critical milestone for the company’s wider internet strategy across Africa.
